Move from the free address to the name you own.

Every store starts on a free address. Connecting your own domain changes the address buyers see; nothing else about the store changes.

Add the domain in the panel

Settings → Domain, then type the name you own.

Update two records at your registrar

The panel shows the exact values. Copy them into the DNS settings where you bought the domain.

Wait for it to take effect

Usually minutes, occasionally a few hours. The store stays online on the old address the whole time.

HTTPS is set up for you once the domain resolves. There is no certificate to buy or renew.
